About Us

We’re a small team of two designers (plus one very enthusiastic little “chief tester” who helps us confirm how unbreakable our products really are).

Shao-Hsuan Hou is the maker behind all of our candle products. A RISD-trained industrial designer and proud perfectionist, he pours every candle by hand and designs the labels and packaging down to the last detail. He’s obsessed with safety and certification, making sure each candle is safe for you and your little ones. Shao-Hsuan loves soft, relaxing scents and thinks carefully about the whole experience—from opening the box to that first burn.

He’s also the one baking, finishing, and packaging our ceramic planters. Every piece is checked by hand before it heads out the door to you.

Kaining Wang is the nose and the illustrator of the team. She’s just as picky about scent as Shao-Hsuan, and she creates the illustrations that bring our planters to life. With a background in jewelry design, Kaining is all about tiny details and small moments of surprise—those little touches you only notice when you’re using the product every day.

Together, we design objects that feel warm, considered, and quietly playful—things that fit into your everyday life and make it a little softer.
